In the event of a major cataclysmic event Preppers will die. How many, which ones and why? This will all depend on the event, the severity of the event, and your preps. If you take a hard look at all the different scenarios that could happen, the magnitude of each, and the subsequent events that would follow each one you would need a super computer to analyze the possibilities and the correct response for each. Survivor Jane will be the featured guest on this episode of Common Sense Prepping on the Prepper Broadcasting Network. The female preparedness phenom is the author of the viral Twitter hashtag – Preppertalk. She is currently involved with a special NatGeo project related to the new season of Doomsday Preppers, and is finishing work on her first book. Survivor Jane was just your typical career woman going about her daily life, until everything about her entire life perspective was altered during an attempted robbery. The old saying “the straw that broke the camel’s back” may be a cliché, but it accurately describes the scenario that prompted Jane to begin focusing on a more self-reliant existence. Have you ever heard of the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA)? If we can take a look at when this event started (1914) under progressive “President Woodrow Wilson” you would see it was to start having monthly White House briefings to bring the media under there wings, and befriend them. The idea was so that certain information wouldn’t get leaked out about the actions of our government. In 1920 they decided to start making it a dinner, the White House Correspondents Dinner or party to have a good time and let loose.
Most American’s have heard of the dinner but don’t really know the meaning behind it. This is one of the reasons why we are not getting the truth from CNN, FOX, MSNBC, CBS, left wing, & right wing media sources like Media Matters, and the Huffington Post. They’re all at the party and we haven’t been invited. Even Hollywood got an invitation and your favorite musician is there The global elite men and women of power and influence all have a seat at this dinner table. They have fun every year when the White House calls. Fun times for all.
On this weeks Charlie in the Box radio show I will explain how our government officials can get away with hiding things in plain site and the media won’t make a big fuss about it. Remember when Barney Frank had a gay prostitution ring out of his Washington D.C apartment or that entertainers, like Lady Gaga have hidden life styles. If you knew some truth about these people and others like, you may not want to follow, listen to the music or watch the video’s anymore. America, the truth shall set you free; take some time to listen to your boy for another addition of the Charlie in the Box radio show on prepper broadcasting network!

There are many out there that are preserving their own foods or are just starting and are on their way to learning the ends and outs of long term food storage. There is a lot to learn along the way and like any other endeavor you enter into it takes a lot of research and practice to get it all down and get it right. Processing food is a skill, that for many is handed down from generation to generation but it is also a skill that must be mastered. A mistake in re-hydrating, dehydrating, or canning food can be dangerous to those that you love as well as yourself.
I am always receiving questions asking about the different techniques, the right and proper tools to use as well as tips, tricks and the best methods to get the desired results in food preparation for short term and long term storage. The questions are many, varied, and without the right answers you can find yourself wasting a lot of time and money as well as putting yourself and those that you love in danger.
On this episode of Preparing for Life’s Storms I will be answering those questions. Questions like; How much water do I use? Does it need to be boiling or just hot or can I use cold water? How much dehydrated corn does it take to make a cup of corn? The list is long but without the right answers the results can be disastrous. So join us and listen in to have these and any other questions you may have answered. If you already process your own food or are just getting started this is a show you will not want to miss.

The Canadian Preppers Network has been up and running for several years now but in the beginning it was a lonely place to visit to say the least. Lack of volunteers and members to the blog and forum made for very little content and because of this, activity from users was non existent.
My son, Tom, founder of American Preppers Network assigned me the task of building this network, providing content, and information that pertained to and appealed to our neighbors in Canada. I would try but knew my help would be little. Between working the A. P. N. State blogs, the main A.P.N. forum as well as the Prepper Broadcasting Network my time for contribution was limited. I could do little more than a rare posting of an article or a bit of news.
One day, while on the A. P. N. forum I noticed a member that happened to live in Canada. His posts, comments and contribution to the forum were everything we look for and admire in a concerned citizen and a Prepper. His name, “Denob” now known as The Prepared Canadian! Could I be so lucky?
Denob aka “The Prepared Canadian” has been a Prepper for many years. His desire to be self-reliant and independent goes far beyond his personal interest. It was quite clear in his activity on the forums that he had a great desire to help others as well as himself and his family. I approached Denob with the idea of running and working the Canadian Preppers Network and in no time we had the right man for the job. It has been just a few short years now and our neighbors in Canada now have a respectable blog with great content.
Recently Denob approached me with an idea. He previously was doing a podcast on another network but due to lack of time had to give it up. Now, time being back on his side he has started doing another podcast and it airs right here on Prepper Broadcasting. Unlike before, this podcast is pre-recorded the day before airing, on Saturdays at 6:00pm/Central.
Below is the player for the original episode of The Prepared Canadian. Because of timing and scheduling we were unable to air this first broadcast. I hope that you will give a listen to our latest host and come back and join us in the chat room every Saturday for a visit with others while listening to Denob “The Prepared Canadian”.

With all the things that Preppers are told they should have and all the things that we do have and are bug out bags, how much of it a necessity and how much of it is just wasted space? In this show “In Time of Disaster” for a while we will discuss the different items that you should carry in your bug out bag and as always I hope you will call in with your comments and suggestions for what you believe to be important items for your bug out bag. Listen to this show in player below!
This airing of The Homestead Honey Hour I would like to talk about homesteading and prepping when you have physical limitations. Now it is no secret that I have two kinds of arthritis, Fibromyalgia and weight issues that despite gastric bypass surgery and careful eating will likely never change. I have a curve in my spine that has plagued me with back problems and been the cause of 7 hernias. So Yes I have physical limitations…But do I let that stop me? Heck no!! If you re determined enough you can do almost anything you just have to look at the task from a different angle and try a new approach!
Now I admit I have VOLFIE and a strong teenage son to help me but if I was (God Forbid) Alone I would still find a way of being as self- sufficient as possible I would not store our hay in the loft I would have it stored on skids and under tarps at ground level where I could easily pick away at it. There are raised garden beds container gardening. Even sacks of feed ,which I am no longer allowed to lift ( I never should have) can be cut open right on the tail gate of the truck and poured into smaller containers for easier carrying. Water for the animals? You can direct your rain downspout into a barrel or even a trough so that you only need to use small buckets for distribution. As the old saying goes where there is a will there’s a way! Do you have physical limitations? Are you letting it stop you? If not what do you DO to work around them? Yes we all have bad days some of us more than others but we live for the GOOD days and make full use of them because life continues whether we participate or not…So I participate the best way I know how I live by the Phrase…NEVER SURRENDER!! And that can mean illness just as well as enemies because after all our own physical limitations can be our enemies if we allow it. Listen to this show in player below and learn some things you may not have known!

From basic shelters such as caves and lean-tos to your home such as a well built basement to the standard tornado shelter that is nothing more than a cylinder with an opening buried in the backyard we will discuss all types of shelters that have been used by man to protect themselves for thousands of years and what can we use today if a disaster strikes. Do you have the knowledge to build a temporary shelter for a few days? or do you have a long term plan for sheltering in the event of a major disaster? Having the ability to build a shelter is only 1/2 of the battle as there are many other aspects to sheltering other than building a lean-to such as fire, food, clean water and much more. After all, what good is a great shelter if you have nothing to eat or drink? This Friday on “In Time of Disaster” your host Karen and her special guest(s) will have a personal, one on one discussion with you about what would be your best options depending upon where you live and what type of disaster might strike your state, country or the planet. Go to home page for all live broadcasts. Listen to this show in player below!
