Self Reliance and IndependenceOn this episode of the I AM Liberty Show we have a person on who is living the Self Reliance and Independence life in many ways. Joe Primm is a Homesteader, Christian, father and a man who appreciates what it means to be a warrior in modern society. I was on his show a few weeks ago and we had a great time. I thought it only proper to have him on the I AM Liberty show to talk about his website and his podcast Ever Vigilant.

In July of 2015 our family, my two wonderful children and beautiful wife, moved out of suburbia and onto a small rural homestead. Read more “Self Reliance and Independence!”

Well-Appointed Prepper Homestead

Well-Appointed Prepper Homestead
Host: Renee “The Homestead Honey Hour

What you need . . . . as well as what’s just nice to have

HomesteadThe line between homesteading and prepping can be a blurry one. As a matter of course, prepping often leads to homesteading. After all, being able to provide for yourself and your family on a sustainable, renewable level moves a person ever closer to independence and self-reliance – the ultimate prepping! To this end, it’s important to have both a knowledge base and various skill sets. But just as important to success or failure on the homestead are the tools one has at their disposal. Some “stuff” is absolutely necessary. Other equipment, while making tasks more manageable and your life a whole lot easier, aren’t really necessary and can be purchased later on, as finances permit. Up to Arms, up to Arms…the feds are coming.

Up to Arms, up to Arms…the feds are coming.
Host: Charlie “Charlie in the Box”

Arms James-Madison-Second-Amendment-MotivatorThe second amendment states; A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.  So why today would the people who took an oath to protect the United States Constitution and its Bill of Rights want to sign into law unconstitutional bills that will infringe on these liberties? America’s founding fathers had a real strong view on the second amendment. For instance, George Washington  “A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government”…… “Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s Liberty teeth and keystone under Independence”. Read more “Up to Arms, up to Arms…the feds are coming.”

The resolution of independence!

John Adams, a signer of the Declaration of Independence wrote to his wife Abigail:

statue-of-liberty-fireworks-fourth-of-julyThe second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.

Freedom, independence, liberty is all about no control by government or any other entity and the chance to practice our own rights and powers. Freedom gives us the power to exercise our rights, desires, or the like. Independence is not only lack of Declaration Docrestrictions but also the ability to stand alone, not propped up by anyone or anything else, such as government or unwanted laws. Independence allows us to think alone giving all of us new ideas, discoveries, and inventions. Liberty, allows us to govern ourselves.

John Adams prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans celebrated independence on July 4, the date shown on the Declaration of Independence, rather than on July 2, the date the resolution of independence was approved in a closed session of Congress.

John Adams died 50 years later on the same day: July 4, 1826
