Encouraging Young Entrepreneurs – The Next Generation Show
For many of us as kids we sought out to make a quick buck. Maybe it was just to get a piece of candy after school from the vending machines down the road. Maybe it was to save up for a new bike. Maybe it was for long-term savings.
Whatever the reason to make money, there is something that separates kids who build their fortune from those who receive it. Call it what you want – imagination, drive, persistence. Whatever “it” is, that was the seed of an entrepreneur at its most primal state.
In the United States we are afforded a luxury to be able to create our own destiny. But for many kids they’ve had less experience forging their destiny than flipping on the phone.
This week we are joined by entrepreneur and survival gear CEO Rob Vigil with Vigilant Trails Survival Gear. Rob is a seasoned entrepreneur from the Silicon Valley and after 20 years in the tech industry, he’s circled back to his survival roots to create small scale, compact survival kits reminiscent of his days as a survival student as a kid in southern Colorado.
Rob’s story is like many entrepreneurs out there. He’s taken a small idea and is turning it into a profitable business from scratch. He’ll be sharing his experience and revealing some of the reasons why getting kids involved at an early age is so important.
Also, don’t forget to join us for the Pint Sized Prepper Project of the Week where we demonstrate how you can think critically and plan out your summer hustle – whether it be a lemonade stand or lawn mowing gig!
