Community Rules for Preppers and SurvivalistsThe community is our greatest ally. It’s not our bugout bag, our network of government moles or even our high-powered arsenal. All the information in the world cannot help you if it all comes crashing down.  When you look at real life disaster, natural disaster, its neighbors helping neighbors. Of course, the prepper issue is our neighbors will become enemies because they are not prepared. Well, can we change that? I have been a part of this community for 5 years Continue reading Community Rules for Preppers and Survivalists!

A Preppers Amenities

A Preppers AmenitiesI was in front of the keyboard today wondering what in the world I would ring my audience’s ears about this week. I was looking for something to prepare for. I was looking for a threat. Then I started thinking about a new piece of equipment to talk about. To be honest with you I was struggling a bit. Then I decided to flip this thing on its head. Why concern myself with the evils of prepping? Let’s spend some time on the good life that preppers have. Continue reading A Preppers Amenities

Test your Might with these Survival Challenges

Test your Might with these Survival Challenges
James Walton “I Am Liberty” Audio in player below!

Test your Might with these Survival ChallengesOne of the things I love about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is that your skill is your skill and its irrefutable on the mat. There is no veil on the mat and you cannot lie your way out of a head arm choke. Either you tapped or you tapped them or you guys stalemated due to evenly matched skills or fatigue. It is this reality and this truth that I would like to inject in to the prepper and survivalist world. Continue reading Test your Might with these Survival Challenges

5 Cheap Survival Projects to Make Right Now!

5 Cheap Survival Projects to Make Right NowIf you’re prepping to bug in in case of a major disaster (like most preppers do), you’re probably wondering what piece of gear to buy next? I know spending is fun, but the thing that’s more important is to have survival skills. Besides, some of these items are insanely expensive, they just aren’t worth the money considering you can make them yourself for a fraction of the cost.

In what follows, I want to give you a few easy survival projects you can do without breaking the bank. They’re actually useful, meaning you’re not doing this just for practice. Some of them are even suitable for kids – a great way to introduce them to prepping.

#1. Make an Altoids Tin Oil Lamp

Though altoids tins are most often used by preppers to keep their mini first aid kits, they also make perfect lamps.

The basic idea is to melt the wax of several candles (into a jar or something) by putting it in a pot filled with water on a stove. Once you melt the wax, you pour it into the altoids tin, but not before you glue the candle wicks to the bottom of the container. Continue reading 5 Cheap Survival Projects to Make Right Now!

5 Year Anniversary of I Am Liberty

5 Year Anniversary
James Walton “I Am Liberty” Audio in player below!

5 Year Anniversary of I Am LibertyIt’s been five years since I first raised the mic and began talking and prepping. I will never forget the moment I realized just how thin the line was between civility and chaos. It was like suddenly being transported to the icy plains of the Midwest in the dead of winter. I was surrounded by two big dogs, a beautiful wife and a newborn child but I felt so alone and it was terrible. In that moment, I knew it was time for one thing and one thing only. HARD WORK. Continue reading 5 Year Anniversary of I Am Liberty
