This week’s episode of the Homestead Honey Hour will feature Renée, (or Michigansnowpony as she is known on YouTube) taking your questions on all things homestead related. Renée and her husband Tim have been homesteading for over 20 years on their 10 acre hobby farm. Renée will be answering questions submitted to her channel as well as taking questions from the listening audience, both in the chat room and from folks who call in. So, if you have a question about dairy goats, chickens, meat rabbits, homestead hogs, turkeys, horses, gardening, seed starting, canning, cooking with a solar oven, gardening with raised beds, dehydrating, heating with wood, putting down a shallow well point, and anything else you’ve seen her (and her better half) do on her channel, don’t be shy, call in and ask! Spring is just around the corner and now is the time to get answers to what you need to know before the “busy” season starts!
The premier of The Galt Strike
Hosts: Tom and Catman
Galt strike, inspired by Ayn Rand’s book Atlas Shrugged and the Character John Galt. Our goal is to teach and share every possible “Legal” method of reducing and eliminating our tax footprints thereby starving the banker oligarchies of the world. The mission, to share every idea possible to cut our production, expenses, and taxes to starve the banker oligarchy. Description, we will accomplish our goals by learning how to reduce our labor and expenses within the “looters and moochers” economy, and redirecting our efforts more towards our own “personal” economies (our own Galt’s Gultch).
Listen to us tonight at 4:00PM pacific/ 6:00PM central when catman and Tom will actually address the question “What about the roads?” How should they be funded. Can we have a true voluntary society and still have viable infrastructure? I am willing to bet that society could even have better.

This first show of Charlie In The Box is not going to be like any others that you’ve listen too. I need you to always have ready a pen and paper, the information that I will be sharing needs to be researched for yourself. I would never want you to believe me. If there is anything that you have researched on your own and you think people would benefit from knowing, this is going to be the show that the people build, that understands when you learn something the best way to get the information out is through sharing, and what that does is to start to educate our communities. Because what you learn you’ll share with loved ones, co-workers & others. Eventually, the power that the people feel the government has comes back to the people, so that we can start restoring our families, our faith, our communities and our republic.
Many Canadians feel that we need Castle laws in order to be able to use force to defend ourselves and our properties. Many also don’t know about the new laws that came into effect last summer. This week on The Prepared Canadian we’ll take a look at the laws now in place that relate to defense of person and property here in Canada. Do the go too far? Do they not go far enough? There are always 2 sides to consider when we talk about issues such as this. Many people believe that anyone entering your home should be met with whatever force the homeowner deems appropriate, while still others fear of overzealous gun owners taking advantage and acting as on the spot judge, jury, and executioner.
This Friday evening on Foraging For Life we will be discussing the different uses for certain trees as a means to sustain ones’ self along with some tricks one can do to obtain some tasty treats from those trees. We will also look into some of the natural medicinal attributes for a few of the species and other useful things that the giants of the forest have to offer by means of simple survival tips. You don’t have to be a beaver to appreciate the sustainability that the trees have to offer as they provide much more than the common applications of building and heating our homes. Come join us for the discussion and please bring with you some questions and comments! I look forward to seeing you all there.
Go Here, to open another window and view the trees and shrubs discussed in this show!
Over thousands of years poor living conditions, sanitation and lack of hygiene has caused some of the most devastating wide spread diseases and deaths in the history of mankind. Just think about Hepatitis A, Giardia, Cholera, Dysentery, food poisoning (Salmonella and E. coli), lice, and scabies. What causes the start and spread of the disease? What are the signs of an outbreak? How to care for infected family or friends? What can you do to stop the communicability of a disease? How to prevent potential diseases? What homeopathic methods can we incorporate into our care?
Come join us in an open discussion as we talk through these questions and more on Band Aids and Bandages. This topic is jammed full of information. So we will break the topic into two consecutive Fridays.
What If? A question that is often asked in our lives ”What if?” is the catalyst for why many people choose to prepare for hard times, purchase insurance on their homes, cars and lives and is the reason for why so many of us are grateful that things are not worse!
The question of “What if?” is only two small words, but it has enormous consequences. “What if?” motivates us to do the right thing. It helps guide us on our path and may even give us a conscience. However, it is becoming a bit apparent that many of us in this community are ONLY living for the “What if?”
We all spend a lot of time, money, effort and research trying to prepare for the “What if?” Some are so totally focused on preparing for living in the future that they are forgetting about truly living today.
Join Noreen, this Thursday as she hosts The Homestead Honey Hour and invites listeners into a discussion about the “What if?” While it is very important to focus on what could happen in the future and be prepared, we must not forget to focus on what is happening in this amazing and beautiful world and the life that we live today. Today will only be here right now. As the author Marianne Williamson wrote: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift and that is why we call it the present. Think about it. If we forget to live for today while preparing for tomorrow, what is all this work for anyway?
