We are talking about how to avoid and respond to migraine headaches. The last thing anyone needs during an emergency is a migraine, so we will look at what a migraine is, what triggers a migraine, and herbs that I use for migraine relief. Continue reading Do you have a plan for migraines?→
Many preppers are stockpiling pet meds, bulk over the counter medications, and asking their doctors for an extra refill or two on their normal prescriptions. Some are also stocking up on herbal remedies and essential oils. More medical, first aid, and herbal books are being written with preppers in mind, which is an encouraging trend.
Modern medicine has some truly wondrous, life-saving procedures and medicines. It excels in it’s diagnostics techniques and heroic interventions. However, does the US really have a health care system? I say, emphatically, “no”.
Much of what we have is a “sick care” system, with a heavy dependence upon maintenance medications that do little more than maintain the current state of illness in an individual. People are then expected to take this or that pharmaceutical indefinitely, just masking the problem, and not solving the problem. If the condition worsens, the solution is to cut something, zap something, or chemically saturate something. Continue reading Collapse-Resilient Health Care Plan!→
Mass Shootings and Medications, A deeper look!
Host: James Walton “I Am Liberty”
If you remember a few weeks ago I did a show on preparing our children for school. It was really about understanding how schools have changed and the dangers therein. When I was a little girl, seldom did we go to the doctor, use medications bought in the store or even antibiotics! I was 11 before I got infected tonsils and had penicillin for the first time. Personally I think antibiotics are WAY over used. So if we didn’t use all these things what DID we use? Honey, poultices, weeds, herbs, whatever worked. The doctor was only a last resort…and the way our healthcare systems are going, knowing more about how to treat yourself at home is becoming more and more important! This week’s show is about simple Herbal medicines and home remedies that until 50 years ago. Were prominent in most homes!
I am not a doctor, a health practitioner or a homeopath. I am just a woman who would rather try and fix it herself before she spend 6-12 hours in a waiting room!
