Building the Herbal First Aid Kit!

How To Build An Herbal First Aid Kit
Cat Ellis “Herbal Prepper Live

How To Build An Herbal First Aid KitA prepper’s first aid kit is a basic kit that’s often found in a bug out bag or stashed in the car. There may be a larger kit in the house. Sure, you can build a quality kit with a visit to your local pharmacy. But, what if that local pharmacy weren’t there? If we have had a societal collapse, and you run out of your bottle of ibuprofen, clotting agent, or tube of triple antibiotic ointment after just the first month, how will you resupply when there is no pharmacy? Enterovirus 68A lot of questions have been raised recently about the Enterovirus 68 (aka EVD68, Enterovirus D68).  This is a respiratory virus that has been moving quickly through the USA and having very serious effects.  Like most respiratory viruses, it is very easily and quickly spread and has been affecting especially children with very serious symptoms.  As is the case with most pathogenic viruses of an acute nature like this (cold, flu, etc.) there is really no treatment protocol in orthodox medicine.  There is no anti-viral or vaccine. Snake Bites, Infections and Herbal Medicine!

Snake Bites, Infections and Herbal Medicine
Host: Sam Coffman “The Human Path”

Snake BitesAs we have talked about before, the three biggest issues after a disaster are very likely going to be food, water and medicine. Add to this the fact that most post-disaster environments are laden with potential health threats: Rubble, obstacles and hazards, open sewage and bacteria-laden water, disturbed wildlife looking for new homes, increased rodent population and more. A lack of medical services really starts to hit home when talking about severe, acute environmental or medical injuries. Two good examples of this kind of severe, post-disaster medical situation are infection and venomous snake bites in North America (e.g. Rattlesnake, Copperhead, Coral Snake, Cottonmouth). Whooping Cough and Herbal Medicine

Whooping Cough and Herbal Medicine
Host: Sam Coffman “The Human Path

Whooping CoughCalifornia has officially declared a Whooping Cough (Pertussis) epidemic. This is a very serious illness that can even cause death. At a minimum, this illness makes it extremely difficult to function normally in the manner that a post-disaster environment would require. Basic necessary chores and working, exacerbates coughing spells, and of course noise discipline is non-existent if someone has this illness.

Thousands of people have been infected with Pertussis this year already, and it is not only infants who are coming down with it. Adults and children who HAVE BEEN VACCINATED are also getting Pertussis. This brings to question of course, the effectiveness of the pertussis vaccine.
