A famous line from a movie once quoted, Defending Your Home Part 2“This is my house. I have to defend it.” Last week we all learned that we have behavior problems and that we need discipline. We discussed ideas for Light, Sound, Smell, Sanitation, and Appearance discipline.

In this show, we will be discussing even more ideas to harden and defend your home.

Remember that you will have countless, un-imagined threats coming at you. There are people who would like to steal your belongings and may want to cause harm just for fun.

What do we do? First: I will go over plants, bushes, and shrubbery. Plant something that is thorny and low to the ground. Tall bushes that hide people are no good. Small rose bushes around windows and Firethorn around the perimeter are good ideas. Next are dogs and lighting and whether it’s a good idea or not to have either. Second: we will really dive into some grey subjects. I’m not saying you should, but you could think about spray painting gang symbols on the side of your house, making nail beds under your windows and in the yard, and spray-painting black above your windows to make the house look burned out.

More ideas we will cover include employing barbed wire or chicken wire in your yard as a foot snare. Better yet, put chicken wire over your windows to prevent rocks and bottles from being thrown in through the glass. Third, we will discuss real life notes from burglars that were interviewed while in prison. Their number one thing was thinking that someone was home. They don’t do movement, dogs, or the chance of being seen.
