Ray Becker… “The Ray Becker Show” Audio player provided!
In the first segment I cover the equities markets, metals, the dollar, Shanghai metal prices, BDI, VIX…All of the Indicators that we’ve been following. I believe that it is critical for us to closely monitor all activity at the beginning of the production chain. In the 2nd segment, I cover all of the economic news items from the past week. Dark Humor and Coping Mechanisms
Micheal Kline “Reality Check” Audio player below
So most of you out there love a good laugh. It makes us feel good. We can forget our troubles for the moment. Have you ever wondered if humor can go too far? What happens when humor crosses over into a darker area? What is Dark Humor? What does it mean if we use Dark Humor? When does making fun of a bad situation cross the line and is considered a social faux pas….or does it? Is it physically healthy to use Dark Humor? Continue reading Dark Humor and Coping Mechanisms!
No, Preppers are Not Weird
Let me take a wild guess: at some point you read or heard about the prepping movement, saw some ridiculous opinions of it, came to the conclusion that preppers are weird… and left it at that; you didn’t bother to dig further. Continue reading No, Preppers are Not Weird
Helping Others if SHTF? Pros and Cons
Highlander “Survival & Tech Preps“ Audio player provided!
We have all been told we must be neighborly and help out those where we can, but let’s examine this a bit. In a time of crisis does this hospitality apply? Should we put ourselves at risk to help others? As I can see it there are pros and cons to each. Continue reading Helping Others if SHTF? Pros and Cons
My Many Prepping Failures

My Many Prepping Failures
I have always learned more from my failures than from my successes. Most of the time, real success just blows up your head and you spend more time fighting the ego than enjoying the success. For me the dark deep pits of failure provide me with time to review and calculate why things went so wrong. Of course, you cannot be considered a true failure unless you stop there. I am a stubborn man and whether it takes me 5 years or 5 minutes I rise up from the ashes and turn my failures around. Continue reading My Many Prepping Failures!
A Preppers Amenities
James Walton “I Am Liberty” Audio player provided!
I was in front of the keyboard today wondering what in the world I would ring my audience’s ears about this week. I was looking for something to prepare for. I was looking for a threat. Then I started thinking about a new piece of equipment to talk about. To be honest with you I was struggling a bit. Then I decided to flip this thing on its head. Why concern myself with the evils of prepping? Let’s spend some time on the good life that preppers have. Continue reading A Preppers Amenities
5 Year Anniversary
James Walton “I Am Liberty” Audio in player below!
It’s been five years since I first raised the mic and began talking and prepping. I will never forget the moment I realized just how thin the line was between civility and chaos. It was like suddenly being transported to the icy plains of the Midwest in the dead of winter. I was surrounded by two big dogs, a beautiful wife and a newborn child but I felt so alone and it was terrible. In that moment, I knew it was time for one thing and one thing only. HARD WORK. Continue reading 5 Year Anniversary of I Am Liberty

For sake of anything else, I’ve coined a new term describing the situation I’ve been dealing with concerning my hurricane damaged house these last six months. Continue reading Aggressive Tolerance!
Does Prepping Make us Paranoid?
Highlander “Survival & Tech Preps“ Audio in player below!
Earlier shows I’ve talked about how paranoia can be a part of prepping and is it good or not? Well this show is about “Does Prepping Make us Paranoid?” This is a simple question, with a harder answer. Since the term prepper has come about it has been synonymous with paranoid people that cannot think straight. But is this Continue reading Does Prepping Make us Paranoid?

While snow is on the ground in the grips of winter, for me that means spring cleaning.
I confess, I’m a bit of a hoarder. There’s a very fuzzy border between stocking up & stock piling & I tend to lead more to the “pile” side of things. I keep cupboards filled, but I tend to also fill the rest of the house with stuff I don’t really need or worse, neglect to put away. Continue reading Spring Cleaning Those Preps!
The Road Less Traveled!
Host: Noreen “The Homestead Honey Hour”
Some of you may know the popular poem of the same name, penned by American Icon Robert Frost. It is a beautiful piece of prose that always makes me think. It really is a fine prescription for how to live your life.
On this episode of the Homestead Honey Hour join me, Noreen for an hour of introspection. A metaphoric journey on the road less traveled and how it relates to the lives that we choose to live. In this chosen lifestyle, no matter what you like to call it, prepping, homesteading, preparedness, survivalism, we are all choosing the road less traveled Continue reading The Road Less Traveled!
Goals & resolutions a better way!
Bob Hopkins “APN Report” Audio in player below!
New Years is upon us! For some, it’s party time, bidding goodbye to one year & ushering in a new. And for others, it’s when we set resolutions for ourselves, and steadfastly try to stick to them… at least until the temptation becomes too great. And that’s what this show is all about.
One of the most fragile things is a New Years Resolution. So often it’s an unplanned oath that gets swept Continue reading Goals & resolutions a better way!
