Special Needs Prepping!

Special Needs Prepping
DJ Cooper “Surviving Dystopia

Special Needs Prepping childrenWhat do I mean by special needs? I mean anything that can be a need for a member of your family or group that may not be considered under the “normal” needs we prepare for. This past weekend when I kept trying to write this show information I had someone with her own special needs that needed attention which makes me think. What I mean by a special need could be any number of things. Continue reading Special Needs Prepping!

Going Bunkers!

Going Bunkers
Host: Jackie “Apocalypse Nana

Going Bunkers main.insaneWelcome again to another Apocalypse Nana show! This week we will discuss schizophrenia, depression, compulsive obsessive actions, bunker fever, and other mentally challenging ailments in the bunker. So grab those pink and blue pills, medicinal injections, aromatherapy concoctions, and specialized smoking anecdotes and enter–at your own risk, of course–Nana’s bunker where it’s safe.

Is Nana’s bunker really safe, though? Is your bunker the happy soulful and melodious place it should be with mentally challenged survivors mixed with sane survivors? Should these groups be segregated? And if so, why and how? Is it even sane to think of euthanasia Continue reading Going Bunkers!

Hard times, disabilities and difficulties! A goat turd sling shot?

This week on The Crooked Path to Preparedness we are going to discuss prepping through hard times, disabilities and difficulties.
Life is always throwing something at us and sometimes it seems like we just can’t get our head above water and focused on what we need to do to be more prepared.  We get to the point where we say “Well I will start prepping next week after this crisis happens” or “I will just have to put it aside until this problem passes by”.  There will always be another problem or difficulty – it called LIFE.
We are going to discuss several problem, issues and difficulties that people, including Sissy Bob, have had to work through.  The bright side is for every problem you work through before a real SHTF situation happens the more prepared and equipped you will be to deal with SHTF.
Make sure and check out the latest Hillbillypreppergals video to find the shoutout of the week.  The person that calls in with it before I do the shout out will win their choice of a goat turd sling shot or a book.  www.youtube.com/user/HillbillyPrepperGals

The Physical Aspects of prepping…

This show on “The Lost Art of Prepping” will be about the Physical Aspects of prepping and self reliance. We will go into depth on how physical surviving can be and how much work and effort you will exert and ways of being ready for such a demand. For example are you truly ready to bug out with your pack and the amount of effort it will take to reach your destination? These are tough questions that will be answered on this broadcast. Homestead In A Rental on The Crooked Path to Preparedness!

There Is No Such Thing As I Can’t!  Sissy Bob, the host of  “The Crooked Path to Preparedness” has a very encouraging and inspirational guest, Helen from HomesteadInARental.

Helen and her husband, Tim,  have a very inspirational story they have agreed to share with us.  they are currently doing their best to homestead and prep with what they have and where they are.  They will amaze you with what they do with what they have.   Sissy Bob learned about HomesteadInARental when they messaged her one day to ask a question.  She checked out their channel and was amazed at what they were doing.  Later that same month Sissy bob came across a submission to one of her favorite magazines and realized it was HomesteadInARental.  She was floored by their story and encouraged at what they did when faced with adversity.  Tim and Helen can teach many of us many lessons.  Their youtube channels is www.youtube.com/user/homesteadinarental

Homesteading and prepping when you have physical limitations!

This airing of The Homestead Honey Hour I would like to talk about homesteading and prepping when you have physical limitations.  Now it is no secret that I have two kinds of arthritis, Fibromyalgia and weight issues that despite gastric bypass surgery and careful eating will likely never change. I have a curve in my spine that has plagued me with back problems and been the cause of 7 hernias. So Yes I have physical limitations…But do I let that stop me? Heck no!! If you re determined enough you can do almost anything you just have to look at the task from a different angle and try a new approach!

Now I admit I have VOLFIE and a strong teenage son to help me but if I was (God Forbid) Alone I would still find a way of being as self- sufficient as possible I would not store our hay in the loft I would have it stored on skids and under tarps at ground level where I could easily pick away at it. There are raised garden beds container gardening. Even sacks of feed ,which I am no longer allowed to lift ( I never should have) can be cut open right on the tail gate of the truck and poured into smaller containers for easier carrying. Water for the animals? You can direct your rain downspout into a barrel or even a trough so that you only need to use small buckets for distribution.  As the old saying goes where there is a will there’s a way! Do you have physical limitations? Are you letting it stop you? If not what do you DO to work around them? Yes we all have bad days some of us more than others but we live for the GOOD days and make full use of them because life continues whether we participate or not…So I participate the best way I know how I live by the Phrase…NEVER SURRENDER!! And that can mean illness just as well as enemies because after all our own physical limitations can be our enemies if we allow it. Listen to this show in player below and learn some things you may not have known!
