Hypertension is one of the most common chronic illnesses in the US. According to the CDC, one in every three Americans has high blood pressure. That is roughly 75 million people. Out of these, only half are estimated to have their high blood pressure under control.
Think, for a moment, what that would look like during an EMP. 75 million people with hypertension will suddenly be thrown into a stressful, physical situation with no hope of getting a refill on their prescription, if they even had one.
The risks of uncontrolled blood pressure are too high to ignore. Hypertension is a major factor for heart attacks, congestive heart failure, and strokes. If you suffer one of these now, while times are good, you’re going to have a bad day. Post-EMP, your chances drop like a rock. You must do whatever is necessary to prevent these from happening, and this starts with a healthy blood pressure.
In this episode, I will discuss a range of herbs that help encourage a healthy blood pressure. These will hopefully prevent a tragedy. We will also cover some basic preps for monitoring blood pressure. Time permitting, we can touch on CPR and heart attack aftercare, though that will likely be a show of it’s own.
With the ever-growing threat of an EMP weapon being deployed out of North Korea, the need for a back up plan for common chronic illnesses grows daily. This episode continues a series of shows to help answer some of the questions on how to put that back up plan together.
