Women in Preparedness: Both Men & Women Need to Know
Cat Ellis “Herbal Prepper Live”
If you are a woman or know a woman, which should be about everyone, you’ll want to listen to this episode.
Preppers are comfortable discussing blood in the context of bullet wounds or lacerations. By some bizarre sorcery, when blood is part of a predictable phase of a woman’s fertility, suddenly, the “Eww Factor” kicks in, and no one wants to talk about it.
Well, I’m going to talk about it.
This week, I’m going to talk about long-term solutions in case you can’t run to the local drug store for some pads and pill for the cramping and bloating. Also on deck are herbal remedies for menstrual complaints. Security issues and self-defense, pregnancy concerns, and sexually transmitted disease, in a post-SHTF situation.
I hate to burst any bubbles (ok, that’s not true), but periods, PMS, endometriosis, PCOS, pregnancies, and menopause aren’t going to cease because of SHTF.
Unless your survival plan was to live out TEOTWAWKI in an all-male compound or bunker, odds are, you’re going to have to know a thing or two about women’s health. And a woman’s menstrual cycles can tell you a lot about a woman’s health.
Ladies, this is your body and your health we’re talking about. In a SHTF situation you are likely not to have a doctor or hospital available. You need to put some preps aside that are specific to women’s health.
For many reasons, men and women alike are ignorant of just how important of a health indicator women’s menstrual cycles are. There is no justification to be uninformed. One of the most important health indicators for 50% of the population due to fear and prudish ideas. And in 2016, that is beyond frustrating.
And if you hadn’t guessed, odds are high that there will be an informative, yet entertaining, rant at some point in the show.
