It’s my right! I have a right!! We have rights!!
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s my right! I have a right!! We have rights!! Rights. It is an often used word but what is a right?? What are OUR actual rights? With the dumbing down of this nation, I suspect that, per capita, more naturalized citizens know the answers than natural born citizens. We are going to be discussing civics. We dove into a little Locke and came to a fresh understanding of rights and privileges and the differences between. When you want to discuss the Constitution or government overreach, it pays to have some facts and understanding, I have found. Also, we explore the ongoing topic that relates to a central theme of mine-FEAR. We began looking at how fear, disinformation, and cynicism lead so many preppers and liberty lovers down the paths to mockery and irrelevance. So join me, Chris, only on The Preppers Poitin Hour as we share a glass of cheer and philosophize and pontificate this Monday night at 9pm Eastern/8pm Central at prepperbroadcasting.com. Slainte! What do zombies have to do with prepping?
Posted by: | CommentsWhat do zombies have to do with prepping? Well, Jon also runs a facebook fan page devoted to zombie apocalypse survival and preparedness. Ok, so we are getting back into the realm of prepping, but why zombies? Well that is exactly what he is going to explain. Zombies and prepping are more closely tied than you might imagine and he will tell us how. Since most, if not all, of our listeners are preppers, we won’t get into the details of prepping as much as the reasons why it is becoming more popular and raising awareness to encourage more to prep. You can find him on the Z.S.A Texas facebook page and he has an article coming out later this month in Brains Magazine. Later this year we are looking forward to the release of Dead Air Anthology which will include Jon’s first published short story. Listen to this show of The Prepper Folks in player below!
Shelters and Whats best for you!
Posted by: | CommentsThis Friday on In Time of Disaster we continued our discussion on shelters and attempt to discover what type of shelter would be the best for you and your family. Do you have plans for a long term for shelter in the event of a major disaster?
Having the ability to build a shelter is only 1/2 of the battle as there are many other aspects to sheltering other than having a well-built shelter and things such as wood for a fire, food, clean water and much more. After all, what good is a great shelter if you have nothing to eat or drink?
This Friday your host Karen and her special guest Katzcradule will had a personal, one on one discussion with you about what would be your best options depending upon where you live and what type of disaster might strike your state, country or the planet. Listen to show in player below.
Developing Your Homestead!
Posted by: | CommentsDeveloping Your Homestead: Buying raw land, an “old farmhouse on a few acres”, or re-vamping what you already own into a viable homestead can be an overwhelming proposition. Where do you begin? What should you look for when scouting out suitable properties? What is the one thing that is crucial to a successful small farm? What are deal breakers? What “legal” aspects do you have to be aware of in regards to property use and development? How do you triage your priorities when the project list seems endless? What do you plant first? What livestock should you start with? How important is the soil type and fertility? Where should you look for property? These questions (and hopefully many of yours) are what is discussed on the Homestead Honey Hour July 19th. Listen in as, Renée — also known as Michigansnowpony – delves into this big topic of how to go about getting back to the land and pursuing sustainability in whatever capacity one desires. And if you can’t move to that dream property, we talk about how to bloom where you are presently planted as well. I’ll share with you what my husband and I have learned — often the hard way — in developing our own homestead over the past 20+ years. Listen in player below.
