Water was the main focus tonight without enough time to really get into root cellars. There was some good information provided on different methods of collecting rain as well as legal implications in some states. Also, the different methods of containing and purifying. Some important questions were put forth by those in the chat room as well as some callers and Lynna, as well as her guest Survivor Jane did an excellent job with answers. Root cellars are on the agenda for next week as Survivor Jane agreed to come back and discuss the new root cellar she has just put in and the advantages. Have a listen to this episode of The Other Side…A Preppers Path in the player below.

Listen to the Honeys this week when Noreen (Atticus9799) was at the helm and Katzcradul, Bexarprepper and Bev, ThemrsVolfie on hand for another fun filled, information packed hour. When prepping most of us think short term. When I say short term I’m talking about a year or less. The possibility remains that a situation could leave us running out of preps after a year with many more years ahead in which we still have to provide for ourselves and family.
What are you going to do when your warehouse of ketchup, mustard, powdered milk or anything at all begins to run out? The stores, if any are open, and you have the money to purchase, may not even have what you require. What will you do to continue on?
There is a remedy that will help and I can explain it no better than the following video.

Many of you know RedHorse_Ronin from American Preppers Network for the many informative articles he has posted and more still from this network and the shows he has been a guest on. His education, formally, and in real life experience is obvious. I believe it fair to say you can not read a post from Chris or listen to him without coming away with a better understanding or a fresh, maybe brighter light on topic discussed.
I could write for an hour and not cover all the positives that RedHorse_Ronin has to offer and I don’t have to. Why? Because RedHorse_Ronin has agreed to do a live broadcast every Monday to share his thoughts, and experiences with those that listen in.
“The Prepper’s Poitin Hour”, join your host Chris as he talks about all things prepping, politics, disaster management, and maybe some humor. Controversial? Maybe. Intrigueing? Potentially. Thought provoking? Hopefully. Useful? Always. Chris will bring his decades of eclectic military and civilian experience to the table as he sips the poitin with you and waxes poetic on prepping. Slainte!
We hope you will join us and give Chris your support. I have no doubts you will be glad you did.

There are a lot of videos on sanitation out there but I would consider this one of the best for short term emergency situations. All the items you think you may need can easily be stored in this bucket. Not enough room? Add another bucket. Check out this video from Katzcradul.
You can visit Katzcradul on “The Homestead Honey Hour” every Thursday 6:00pm/Central right here for a live interactive show with great prepping tips and ideas.
